PASOM PASAN – LUANG PRABANG
PASOM PASAN is located in Luang Prabang and was created as a new step after five years of experience working with youth and cultural education. We are proud to open this new center dedicated to arts, crafts, and creative training for young people.
The center is open to youth and young adults, offering opportunities to learn traditional crafts while exploring new ideas and designs. The space is organized to support learning, experimentation, and cultural transmission through hands-on practice.
PASOM PASAN aims to empower young people through craftsmanship, creativity, and cultural pride, contributing to the preservation and renewal of Lao artisanal traditions.
PASOM PASAN is divided into two main areas:
- The Design and Creation Space offers a flexible environment where young people can develop their own projects, experiment with materials, and collaborate on creative productions. This space supports innovation while staying connected to local craftsmanship traditions.
- The Craft Workshop Area provides practical spaces where participants learn traditional techniques such as Saa paper making, wood carving, bamboo weaving, and other artisanal skills. These workshops encourage both the reproduction of traditional knowledge and the exploration of new forms and designs.
